Ado-Odo/Ota dwellers engage in the production of cash, food crops as well as mineral resources which include: cocoa, kola nut, palm oil, coffee, cassava, timber, maize, vegetables, kaolin, silica sand, gypsum, and glass sand.
This area is mainly populated by Awori People, a subset of the Yorubas and the original inhabitants of the area. Other tribes here include: Egba, Eguns, and Yewas (Egbados).
