About Ado-Odo/Ota, Ogun
Ogun state, Nigeria has 19 Local Government Areas (LGAs) and Ado-Odo/Ota Local Government Area is one of them with its headquarters at Ota (Otta). It was createdÂ on 19th May, 1989 following the merging of Ota, part of the defunct Ifo/Ota Local Government with Ado-Odo/Igbesa Areas of the Yewa South Local Government. This area is mainly populated by Awori People, a subset of the Yorubas and the original inhabitants of the area. Other tribes here include: Egba, Eguns, and Yewas (Egbados).
