Yobe State Approves ₦1.6b Housing Scheme

Lagos State Approves More Low Cost Housing Schemes

Plans by the Lagos authorities to tackle accommodation shortages and its attendant high cost of rent are in the offing, as the government has proposed the construction of more low cost housing estates in the state. Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria Funds El-Salem Estate, Abuja with ₦1.83bn

Federal Mortgage Bank of Nigeria is financing the development of 272 housing units in Abuja to the tune of N1.83bn under the National Housing Fund scheme, which is designed to provide affordable shelter for Nigerian masses. The housing estate called Cooperative City Gardens at Sabon Lugbe, Abuja, is being developed by El-Salem Nigeria Limited, a private estate developer.
