Akowonjo is a sub-urban area located in Egbeda, Lagos state, Nigeria. The area is housed under Alimosho local government area. Akowonjo is bordered by the following settlements: Egbeda, Shasha, Idimu, Abesan, Dopemu and Agege. Akowonjo is situated behind the Lagos Airport but the airport is not accessible from the community. Akowonjo has the Baale Market which serves the community for food items and grocery products.
