Konshisha is a Local Government Area (LGA) located in Benue state, Nigeria. The headquarters of this area is situated in the town of Tse-Agberagba. Konshisha shares borders with Gboko and Ushongo local governments in the north; Vandeikya and Ogoja of Cross River State in the East; Oju and Gwer local government areas in the Western part of the local government. Konshisha is essentially an agrarian local government, crops produced in large quantities include yams, groundnuts, maize, guinea corn, rice, cassava, bambrara nuts, while citrus crops, mainly oranges are also produced in large quantities.
The local government is richly endowed with skillful craftsmen. The people produce unique perforated pots (buufu) and other pots, hoes, spears, bows and arrows, cutlasses, mats, very large baskets and beautiful carvings. Major dance groups of the local government are Vanger-Gbilin, Igyinya, Takera and above, the Kwagh-hir puppet theatre. The local government has natural resource such as timber from its forests and fish from the big Konshisha river. There are traces of mineral such as barites, salt deposits, calcium, basalt and grinding stones in various locations in the local government.
