Vandeikya is a Local Government Area (LGA) located in Benue state, Nigeria. Vandeikya local government was created on 28th August 1976 sequel to the National Local Government Reforms of 1976. Vandeikya LGA has its headquarters situated in the town of Vandeikya. The area shares boundaries with Obudu and Bekwara of Cross River State in the East, Ushongo in the North and Konshisha LGA in the West. There are twelve administrative council wards. The predominant inhabitants of this area are the Tiv.

Vandeikya local government council is rich in agricultural produce namely: rice, sweet potatoes, sorghum, citrus, cassava, bananas, spices, tomatoes, pepper of various types, palm oil and palm products. The local government has wide Fadama area and good arable land for sheep and cattle rearing. Already, the federal government has established sheep grazing area in Ningev Council Ward of the Local Government.
