Odogbolu is a Local Government Area in Ogun State, Nigeria. It has its headquarters in the town of Odogbolu. This LGA had been under the jurisdiction of various councils from the defunct Western Region and later Western State, when it was under Ijebu Division. Odogbolu Local Government is strategically located on a large expanse of land of about 640 square kilomitres. Odogbolu is bounded by Ijebu- North Local Government Area (LGA) in the north, Ikene Local Government Area (LGA) in the east and Epe Local Government Area (LGA), Lagos State in the south.
Odogbolu Local Government Area has an estimated population of 200,000 inhabitants. Christianity and Islam are the two major religions believed in this area. However, there still remains sizable number of committed traditional worshipers in the area. The inhabitants in this area are mainly the Yorubas.
