Anambrais a state located in the southeastern part of Nigeria. Its name is an anglicized version of the original 'Oma Mbala', the native name of the Anambra River. Anambra has its capital as Akwa. There are two biggest and commercial and industrial cities in this state which are Onitsha and Nnewi. The state has its theme as "Light Of The Nation". The state is bound by Delta to the west, Imo and Rivers to the south, Enugu to the east and Kogi state to the north.
