Iwajowa is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Oyo state, Nigeria. Iwajowa LGA has its capital/headquarters located in Iwere-Ile; the headquarters of the Local Government is under Oyo North Senatorial District, Oyo State, Nigeria. Iwere-ile was a former powerful war town in the old Oyo empire, dreadful for many Oyo indigenes, as well as the Alaafin to attack.
