Isiala Mbano is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Imo state, Nigeria. Its capital/headquarters is located in a town called Umuelemai. This area was created in September 1989 from the former Mbano Local Government Area during the creation of additional local government areas. Christianity is dominant here and is generally practiced by people who live in this area.
Dwellers in Isiala Mbano practice subsistence farming under local government agencies policy. It is bounded on the north by Onuimo LGA and some parts of Nwangele LGA, on the East by Ehime Mbano LGA and on the south by Ikeduru and Mbaitolu LGAs respectively. Isiala Mbano has 28 Autonomous communities, namely:- Osuama, Ezihe, Anara, Osu Owerre, Umuduru, Ikwuano, Ezumoha, Isiama, Umunchi Umuelemai Luwenneiri, Nneato-Nweafor Dikenaofeiyi Ugin-nna, Obolio, Amaukwu-obollo, Ogbor, Umuozu, Ibeme, ibeme-Amaise, Umuneke, Oka, Umunkwo, Amaraku, Amato-Amaraku, Aku-Amaraku, Amauzari, Ekwedim, and Umuenyi.
