Obowo (also spelled as Obowu) is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Imo state, Nigeria. It has its headquarters in Otoko. Towns in Obowo local government area include: Umuagu, Umungwa, Umulogho, Avutuand Umuokeh. The area is right across the Imo River and is less than 30 minutes from the Umuahia and Ahiara in opposite directions; with the seven and half (7&1/2) junction landmark in-between.
