Ngor Okpala is a Local Government Area (LGA) in Imo state, Nigeria. Its capital/headquarters is located in Umuneke Ngor. Ngor Okpala is a notable place in Imo state because of its location/position; the LGA connects Abia and Rivers states of Nigeria. Ngor Okpala is the largest local government area in Imo state and one of the largest in Nigeria. This area is generally inhabited by the Igbo ethnic group.

They include: Ntu, Alulu, Amala, Orburu, Obokwe, Eziama, Okpala, Ohekelem, Ihite, Obike, Elelem, Umuohiagu, Umuhu, Imerienwe, Nguru-Umuaro, Orishi-eze, Obiangwu, Obioma and many others. Imo airport is situated in Ngor Okpala. Ngor Okpala is one of the fastest developing local governments in Imo State. This area is blessed with natural and mineral resources which have not been tapped. The natives also term themselves as people of owerri (nde owere).
